SARASOTA, Fla., May 23, 2018 - Animal Rescue Coalition (ARC) is partnering with Animal Network, Inc. to provide free spay/neuter and vaccine vouchers to students of Manatee County, Florida after being awarded a grant by the Kayjan Charitable Fund of the Manatee Community Foundation.

Upon completion of an Animal Network, Inc. program, students will receive a voucher redeemable for a free spay/neuter or vaccine at ARC’s high-volume spay/neuter clinic located in Sarasota, FL.  ARC and Animal Network will be working together to schedule programs at schools throughout Manatee County.

“We believe that introducing the subject of responsible pet ownership at an early age will result in a greater understanding within the community over time,” said Mary Dietterle, ARC’s Executive Director. We hope that by empowering these students to act upon what they are learning, the message will be more powerful and will resonate with the child, their family and within the school community.”

“We are grateful for the grant money which will allow us to expand our Shelter Diversion Program,” said Debra Starr, an Animal Network Board Member and volunteer.   “This grant will allow us to offer services to pet owners so they can be part of the solution to pet overpopulation.”
